LEAGUE RULES

DRI-FIT UNIFORM COLORS

• Once your team is formed, you can select the color of your Dry-Fit shirt lettering.

• Umpire Discretion: Uniform tops must be worn to games or it’s -2 runs per player. With leagues being so competitive, losing 2 runs might cost a team a playoff spot.

• Extra dry-fit cost is $40.00. Recommend. (Notify us at registration).

•  *Teams that have played in previous leagues will have priority to pick the same color.

BOOST FACTOR HANDICAP FORMAT - READ CAREFULLY​

• Similar to Golf, we will be apply a boost factor handicap. For example, players have a golfer's handicap that allows them to compete fairly against other golfers, regardless of ability. For example, if one golfer has a handicap of 10 and shoots an 81, their adjusted score is 71. If another golfer has a handicap of 15 and shoots an 85, their adjusted score is 70, and they win the match. A handicap allows golfers of different skill levels to compete fairly.

• Applying this type of format will do the following:

  • Reward quality contact and ball flight regardless of size and strength of athlete.

  • Regardless of boost factor, poor contact and excessive ground balls will still lead to outs.

  • Makes the league more competitive and fun; Games will be closer

  • Good hitters with power will be challenged and not be rewarded with an HR on a miss hit. This will keep these athletes engaged and focused on high quality contact.

  • Non-power hitters who might struggle to get the ball out of the infield will be able to drive the ball through the infield with good contact just like everyone else. The result won’t match a power hitter’s result, but they will have the opportunity to gethits and contribute to the team.

MIXED AGES WITHIN TEAMS AND LEAGUES

• A 12u player can play on a 14u team. When the 12u player comes up to bat, the size of the field will automatically switch to match his age.

• If a 12u player plays on a team with a 14u players, the centerfield fence distance will be different.

• Combining age groups is not ideal, but necessary if not enough players sign up for an age group. This gives kids the opportunity to experience HitTrax and have fun.

• If a player decides on own to play up, they will play at those standards.

• Even if a player is allowed to play at younger age, as they meet the age requirements, if they are too advanced for that level, their field will be changed to match their present age.

• By registering for this league, you accept the rules and regulations.
